About the Event

Please join us for an evening of AIS/Water Quality Education and Camaraderie at the Red Barn at Woodhill Country Club. Dress is casual (jeans OK) and light food and drink (cash bar) will be provided.

6:30-8 -- A.I.S. (Aquatic Invasive Species) Speaker Presentations/Q&A

8-8:30 -- Annual LLWA Meeting

A.I.S. Speakers include:

  • Raymond "Ray" Newman, Professor, Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Conservation Biology at the University of Minnesota who will be talking about the relationship between AIS plants and invasive carp in watershed environments.   • Tony Havranek, Sr. Ecologist at WSB & Associates, who will be speaking about the current state of the Long Lake Creek Sub-Watershed, and the work to date analyzing the carp population levels and potential mitigation strategies.
